5. Data Access and Control
Given the early stage nature of our organization, you may not have access to the data we've collected directly. To retrieve a copy of the records we have on file, you may submit a request to privacy@milna.ca
If you want us to delete or refrain from further processing of the information we have about you, please contact us at privacy@milna.ca. Please note, we may retain certain information for record keeping purposes, to fulfill transactions, or to comply with other legal obligations or laws.

6. Transfer and storage across international borders
We collect information globally and it may be stored anywhere servers are located globally. We may transfer, process, and store information outside of where you are located, to wherever we or our third-party service providers operate so that we can provide your our services. This means your data may be transmitted across local, national, or international borders.
7. Transfer of business ownership or changes in leadership
If the business undergoes a merger, acquisition, change in leadership, change in directors, hiring, restructuring, or any other change in business operations, your data may become accessible and maintainable by the new parties or personnel involved.
8. Updates to the Privacy Policy
If we change our processes to use personally identifiable information in a materially different way than for how it was collected, we shall email you to notify you. In this scenario, we shall provide you the option to decline further processing of your data, deletion of your data, or any other alternatives that are available. You may be provided the option to consent to the new privacy policy.
If non-material changes are made to the privacy policy, we will email you to notify you that we've made updates to the privacy policy.
9. Analytics
We use a simple analytics service called TWIPLA to measure traffic on our website. It collects general information from our website visitors. We create statistics to improve the experience of our website visitors. We never use cookies for this purpose.
As a website operator using TWIPLA to conduct reach measurement, depending on the level of data protection we have activated, we may process information about the device you are using and its characteristics, information about technical characteristics of the website visit, the number of page visits and statistically relevant behavior of our website visitors. Depending on the location from which you access our website, TWIPLA may not collect any information about the device you are using due to our technical settings.
Prior to providing us an email address, the technology does not use the collected data to identify individual visitors or to match the data with additional information about an individual user. The user's browsing sessions and engagement with our website is anonymous.
Once an email address is provided, any links you receive from us may be equipped with an Urchin Tracking Module (UTM) and session tracking information. If you open a link equipped with UTM without removing the UTM parameters, we will be able to uniquely identify when you have opened our link and the subsequent interactions you may have with our website, products, or services. The information we collect may be aggregated with other records we have on file about you, allowing us to personalize our products, services, and communications for you. If you wish to continue engaging with our website anonymously after providing us your email, you can do so by copying the target URL, pasting it in a browser or text editor, removing the query parameters, and then attempting to access the website.
We also leverage UTM parameters for monitoring the progress of advertising campaigns. Advertising campaigns through social media platforms do not inform us who specifically clicked on our ad or visited our website, unless you choose to reveal your details in a subsequent interaction (such as providing your email address). If we send you a personalized link during an advertising campaign because we've had previous correspondence (or you are acquaintances to a Milna team member or a friend of a friend), then we will be able to track the status of your interactions by means of UTM.
10. Contacting us

We will respond to any requests in a manner that is consistent with applicable law. We may choose to decline or not process requests that we deem to be unpractical or unreasonable, or compromises the data of others. We may require a way to verify your identity before processing a request.
